Venice

It happened that we were there when some once-a-year race goes on through the canals of Venice. It was hard to get the shot lined up right though, because they were actually moving pretty fast, but still kind of a unique shot I think.

This is not what it looks like

So you're probably thinking "Chris, that picture sucks." Well, I'll explain. So I was planning on doing some photography with Jim Baker yesterday. I show up at his house and we're basically wearing the exact same shirt (The one on the right. (Actually, the shirt belongs to Jeremy Hidey, but that is another story.) For the similar shirt, see Jim's blog.) But we're both thinking whatever, no big deal.

After attempting to shoot Lake Elkhorn, we go to Bertucci's, where Jon Green is our waiter (we both knew him in high school). After a while, I suddenly become very self-conscious that we're wearing the same shirt, and I just start uncontrollably laughing. Partly because I thought I saw some waitresses talking and looking over at us.

So the next time Jon comes over, Jim says "Jon, Chris is feeling really self-conscious about us wearing the same shirt. Do you think we look gay?"

And Jon says "Well, actually, my manager saw you guys and asked if you were, but I told him I know you and you're not, so don't worry about it"

.....can't two guys dress the same and have one of them pay for the other and not have everybody assume they're gay?? Next time we need to wear one of our other matching shirts.....

Just thought I would mess with your mind a little bit... still the waterfall but if you look at it sideways it doesn't look quite right.... weird eh?
